Vol. 4 Collector’s Edition Preview: “Shampoo,” by Ingrid Jendrzejewski

Ingrid Jendrzejewski’s flash fiction, “Shampoo,” appears as a little accordion-style booklet in the Vol. 4 Collector’s Edition. This 2.75″ by 4″ booklet is printed on 67-lb. ivory-colored vellum paper. It is one of nine individual objects slated to appear in this year’s edition. 2016 Seersucker Writers Workshop

The 2016 Seersucker Writers Workshop is now accepting applications. Our recent contest judge, Amelia Gray, is one of the visiting faculty. Zach Powers, a recent contributor to The Conium Review, is also one of this year’s special guests! The other faculty and guest writers include Arna Hemenway, Patricia Lockwood, Chad Faries, Sjohnna McCray, Alexis Orgera, and Gale Marie Thompson.
The Seersucker Writers Workshop is a program of Seersucker Liver, a literary nonprofit in Savannah, Georgia designed to promote the local literary community through reading performances and workshops, featuring national, regional, and local writers. The workshop runs from February 3rd to February 7th, 2016 in downtown Savannah. More details and registration info are available on the Seersucker Live website.

“The Conium Review: Vol. 4” Cover

The Conium Review: Vol. 4 release date is about a month away, and we’re pleased to unveil the cover image. The overall design aesthetic is consistent with last year’s insectile cover, but we’ve gone more cephalopodian with it. And like last year, the front is just a tease; you can expect a nice wrap-around with a smattering of additional tentacles on the back.

The issue is about 90 pages, and it features work from Emily Koon, Tamara K. Walker, Rita Bullwinkel, Marina Petrova, Kayla Pongrac, Ingrid Jendrzejewski, Zach Powers, and Theodora Ziolkowski.
